Back on the radio Friday 8 a.m. CFUN 1410 AM to talk about the latest revelations regarding the BC Rail e-mails. And listen there …or watch here this weekend … for my theory of what’s really going on: it’s all unfolding just as the government would like!!

Watching Global News this morning (Friday) and between 0530 and 0600 NOT A THING WAS MENTIONED ABOUT THIS!! Also, the main headlines for the 0600 news also did not mention this. Why does the government need to waste money on the PAB when they get everything they want said (or not said) done by Canwest for free?? UNBELIEVABLE!!
(Response: Actually they did a very good job last night… John Daly’s fine reporting on the latest e-mail scandal AND then they had a very detailed look back at previous BC government scandals, ranking this one possibly way up there. h.o.)

You just posed the best question I’ve heard on the deletion of the tapes.
If they keep telling us that the matter is before the courts then ask them “why were they destroyed if it’s before the courts”.
Brilliant Harvey, simply brilliant.
(Response: Thanks. One of those rare moments when I wish I was working again!
h.o.

Thanks for the access to the articles explaining the BC Rail story I get now why the story is so important.
I hate to say it but when I quit watching TV I quit reading the local newspapers as well. I was just so sick of the concentration on breaking news and ‘news’ items that belonged on the View or in ‘O’ eg recipes and diet plans, fashion, etc. Anyway I still have a lot of reading to do about the BC Rail story but wouldn’t there be hardcopies of the memoes available? And what about recovery from the ISP or yahoo or PCs?
thanks again Harvey
(Response; Welcome. Doing this is part of my fun in being retired.
I’m sure the lawyers, top officials are looking for ANY trace of those now infamous e-mails. h.o.

Harvey, the leaking ship of media is beginning to alter course. They are being shamed into it. Thanks for you contributions.
(Response: You know, have been thinking the same. I don’t think they cared too much about being beaten by the Globe etc .. BUT I do think all the blogging, comments that followed on radio etc exposing their failings has had an impact. Great!
h.o.

Perhaps, there is a reason why the Supreme Court of Canada is taking so long with a fairly simple finding. I expect that, as soon as the special prosecutor loses his appeal about the secret witness, Berardino will enter a stay of proceedings. That has been the plan for some time but the judicial community knows wazzup.

Harvey this is what made you one of the best reporters ,even retired you are better than any of those shill’s that are out there now!And I’ll bet dollars to donuts ( I think a donuts worth more than a dollar now?)…you had every thing to do with these media types from bc almost stepping up to the plate!
(Response: I love good reporting .. and donuts (unfortunately!) Hope WE (not just me … but those also writing here on this Blog) and the Toronto Globe showed them WE were aware and not happy with the poor job most were doing on chasing this story. h.o.)

Harvey, I missed it. I got up at 4 AM, fell back asleep on the couch at 7:45, only to awake at 9:08. I hope that the radio show went well. I thank you for your work. I am also in the belief that you have helped shame the news agencies into publishing more about this story.
(Response: I hope so too. I will likley blog this weekend on what I said on the show. h.o.)
