Blog Returns Jan. 25!

January 1st, 2013 · 10 Comments

Happy New Year to everyone!  Hope the holiday season brought you a full measure of warmth, joy and opportunities for peaceful reflection … away from the stresses we often face the rest of the year.

I have certainly been enjoying good times,  fun in the sun and a nice rest.  And still have a wonderful cruise ahead this holiday season.

But the blog will be back Jan. 25 …. probing, stirring, hopefully raising important issues and debunking some artificially inflated ones  ….  and trying to keep it real for the year ahead.

And what a fun year 2013 shall be!

If you’re coming back on that date, you might want to start with a Robbie Burns poem… looking forward to your return Harv, happy New Year!

Maybe by your return, some DJ in Kitimat will ask CC what it’s like being an airhead and she’ll answer: “Well, you know… I’ve always thought it was better to be an airhead than a total moron — so I take that as a compliment!”

In all likelihood, you won’t have to dig too hard for story ideas as we approach the election. Enjoy your continued hiatus, Harvey.

    Yippee!

I have grown tired of the Pablum that passes for news from the MSM! It is a retinue of about 6 blogs I get the real news from!

A belated Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year to you Harvey. Glad to hear that you got lots of rest, as it will be a busy time for bloggers like yourself when you get back. The truth is well hidden in the MSN and we need you guys, and girls to ferret it out for us.

A belated Happy New Year, Harvey! I used to be one of those who spend the winters in Mexico, so I’m feeling kinda jealous of you at the moment.

However, there have been so many interesting things going on up here this winter, I haven’t had time to feel sorry for myself. The latest is the story about the BC Libs dumping John Doyle after his term is up.

Hurry home, Harv. Can’t wait to hear your take on some of this stuff!

Well, I will say this for Missy Clark, she can’t upset me by forcing the teachers into a 10 year no-strike contract. I know, I know, the teachers deserve more and more and more ….. why do I feel that the teachers don’t give a damn about the rest of us poor bastards? Could it be that they don’t? PS – welcome back!

There won’t be a 10 year contract, and as I understand it, the deal Clark has proposed would reinstate the right to strike.

Why do you feel that teachers don’t give a damn about you, you poor, and if I may, bleak bastard?

Because it is obvious that you are one of them, and it is obvious too, that your think the people’s treasure is there for you to plunder.

P.S. Might want to listen to an interview of Jon Ferry over at Small Dead Animals, re: the never ending strife all provinces in Canada are having with the ever avaricious teacher’s unions!
