Let’s fix the problems at home first ,some people here are starving and don’t have a home then we could help others,and if shes’s that sad about Haitians maybe she should go back and help I mean really help not take away from our economy,this scam has to end ,this was just payback for illegally proroguing Parliament,she and harper and the rest of the what brand are they wearing today oh pc’s can go piss up a rope and Harvey lets do some real BC news scandals that don’t get reported by those msm lackeys when you get back try to follow other blogs but their to politically entrenched to one party or another and that always leads to polarization,lets move on and try to fix party politics and work for the citizens for a change.

It does seem a tad over the top for an individual holding a “high” position.
Sorry, after the Red Cross used the tsunami donations to go on a spending spree I refuse to give up what little after tax income I do have, and little I do have I dole out locally.
So, the Gov can keep mugging, I aint buying.

(Response: It would not woirk. The last story I diud oin the GG ..I asked why her staff were about 75% Francaphone, when they represented inky 26% of Canadian population? I wondered if that gave under-rep to people from the West? Her reply (honest) was that she was thinking of hiring an aboriginal rep fron the West. I don’t even know if she did that. h..o)

Perhaps worse, a large portion of Canadian aid was applied at or near her home town. I’m sure Canadians would prefer the money was spent in Haiti where best needed, not in the back yards of Ms. Jean’s family. How in hell did her birthplace even make the criteria for dispensing aid? Scandalous, I’d say.

She had her photo op on the news tonight and low and behold she may have actually got some dirt on her hands. They showed her kneeling down and rubbing her hands on some type of sidewalk or decking of some sort. I too believe that the cost of her second trip home in the past few weeks could have gone to better use.

The real question is do we still need to have a Governor Geneneral as well as Lieutenant Governors any more. What purpose do they really serve? The monarchy of England has no influence on how Canada is run and these institutions are nothing more than a costly expense.

Canada is over 100 years old and it’s time that it set out on it’s own journey.
